How It Works
  • Pre-Flight Preparation: Receive a briefing on safety procedures and what to expect during the flight. Gear up and make your way along the beach to get ready for take-off.
  • Flight Experience: Take-off from the beach, feeling yourself effortlessly lifted into the sky using a unique tow launch method. Soar above the coastline and enjoy panoramic views of the Coral Sea, beautiful beaches, and rainforest-clad mountains. After 15-20 minutes of flying, land back on the beach gently and safely.

Seasons
  • Tandem paragliding in tropical Queensland is available during the dry season, typically between June and September
  • Flights are available daily, usually between 12pm and 5pm
Time
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled flight time
  • We recommend allowing at least 60 - 90mins from your scheduled booking time to allow for documentation, pre-flight briefing, possible weather-related delays and actual flying time
Location
  • This experience is located at the end of Wangetti Beach Road, a 2 minute drive from Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures and Rex Lookout, a 30 minute drive from Port Douglas, and a 40 minute drive from Cairns (Car parking available)

  • This experience departs from the end of Wangetti Beach QLD 4877.
Transfers
  • Optional free return transfers from Cairns City, Palm Cove and Trinity Beach are available for passengers (if required). Customers must advise at time of booking what pickup location they would like:

  • Booking is required - please select the relevant transport option and pick-up point when making your booking. Failure to do so may result in transport being unavailable. You must arrive at your pick-up point 10 minutes before the meet time to avoid missing your transport.
  • If you organise your own transport, we recommend organising transportation with ample buffer time to account for potential weather delays. Missed transportation due to weather is not eligible for compensation by the service provider.
FAQs
  • Personal cameras and phones are not permitted during the flight
  • Friends and family are welcome to come along and take photos and videos of your flight preparation, launch and landing
What To Bring
  • Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather conditions on the day, perhaps a long sleeved top or light jacket as it may be cooler at higher altitudes
  • Wear enclosed footwear (e.g. running shoes)
  • Recommend wearing sunglasses and applying sunscreen
Terms And Conditions
  • All passengers must sign a SAFA insurance waiver
  • Passengers under age 18 must have a parent/guardian to sign the insurance waiver on their behalf. Refusing to complete the waiver will result in cancellation of the flight and no refund will be given
  • Minimum age is 11 years (no maximum age limit)
  • Weight range is between 30-120kg
  • Basic fitness and good general health are required for safety. Passengers are required to walk up to 300m along the beach (3-5mins) to get to the launch area. Then on take-off, passengers are required to walk briskly for approximately 4-5 steps
  • Not accessible for wheelchair users
  • Not suitable for pregnant women
  • Tandem flights are weather dependent so there may be delays or changes to your flight if weather conditions are unsuitable for flying. Kindly ask for your patience, understanding and flexibility should this situation arise – the weather can't be controlled and your safety is the top priority. If you cannot fly due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, your flight will be rescheduled free of charge
Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
  • Mobile Vouchers are accepted! Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
